Mitigation strategies matter: To achieve true autonomy, we must consider: ✅ Regulatory autonomy (compliance, jurisdictional control) ✅ Strategic autonomy (long-term control over data infrastructures) ✅ Value-oriented autonomy (aligning infrastructures with public values like democracy, rule of law, and responsible innovation)
Has the EU #AIAct become a Story without a plot? The #digitalomnibus proposal is watering down its ambitions, leaving businesses, civil society, and governments in uncertainty.
In this article, I argue that the EU needs a clear regulatory vision that addresses AI's transformative challenges, rather than reacting to short-term interests.

🇪🇺#AIAct implementation update from 🇩🇪: According to the ‚KI-Marktüberwachungs- und Innovationsförderungsgesetzes (KI-MIG)‘, the ‚Bundesnetzagentur‘ is the central coordination & competence center, market surveillance & notifying authority.
What this tells us? Many countries give this task to their #DataProtection supervisory authorities. The German approach is an indication that fundamental rights are not the priority of 🇩🇪 AI Regulation.
