Who designs the technologies we are using ?
How does the technology design affects our lived time ?
What agency do we have as users when making conscious or not conscious decisions about technology-related activities ?

Back in February, we had the opportunity to meet with the interdisciplinary designer Dominika Čupková and the mathematician and product designer Emese Thamó to reflect on topics related to the design of technologies, the design of acceleration and how the power to design is distributed.

It was a great pleasure to moderate this talk. The talk took place on February 15th, 2025 at adpatér in Budapest, Hungary, in collaboration with ProProgressione and Ars Electronica.

ADAPTÉR
- What does the competition for space dominance, the so-called “Space Race”, reveal about the society we live in ?
- Is the concept of becoming an interplanetary species a potential solution for humanity, or is it a demonstration of a competitive and expansive culture ?
- How is the space industry using nomenclatures to reflect masculinity and dominance ?
