I'm currently evaluating data recovery providers for a critical project, and I'd love to hear from anyone who's had experience with Desert Data Recovery (Peoria, AZ), $300 Data Recovery (Studio City, CA), ACE Data Recovery (HQ in TX), or MDRepairs in NJ.

If you've entrusted any of these companies with your data recovery needs, I'd greatly appreciate your insights: whether it's about their turnaround time, success rates, customer service, or overall reliability. Your feedback could help others make informed decisions and ensure we're all working with the best partners in the industry.

Thanks in advance for your time and expertise!

Here, I did the thing

I've been seeing this extension all over and wasn't sure exactly what folks were doing. Turns out, they weren't doing anything. Claude for Desktop is secretly installing this thing that activates when one of three other extensions are also present.

Anthropic secretly installs spyware when you install Claude Desktop — That Privacy Guy!

Anthropic's Claude Desktop silently installs a Native Messaging bridge into seven Chromium browsers, including browsers Anthropic's own documentation says it does not support, and browsers the user has not even installed.
