Hey fediverse!
I'm not much of a talker online, going at my own pace!
I studied #CogSci at university with some emphasis on #CompSci and #Linguistics.
I play some computer games, mostly #sandbox stuff, transport simulators and city-building games.
I listen to many types of music, and I'm particularly fond of #PostRock and #Ambient stuff.
I live on a #PlantBased diet and try to follow a #vegan lifestyle.
Oh and I love learning languages!
Trying to get into #simutrans but I'm slow to grasp it 😅

For hundreds of years philosophers and artists have asked “what is it to be human?”

And about 10 years ago tech bros discovered that it’s actually our ability to tell which pictures contain bridges.

To anyone thinking about joining BlueSky, especially artists: everything you post is sent to a third party for AI labeling.

BlueSky uses AI to label content for moderation, and to do that they use a company called https://thehive.ai. If you look through their privacy policy, you will see that they can use content sent to them to train models for all their services, which include generative AI for both text and images.

Pixar's #Elemental is a heartwarming story about culture, equity, love and following your heart. Kids and adults will enjoy. #movies

JESC 2022 was absolutely fantastic on all accounts! The production, the preformers, the suspense... Tonight has truly spun the magic and created a 20th edition to remember!
#JESC2022

Seriously though, fedi was *built* by furries, trans and queer folk, disabled neurodivergent people.

This is *the reason* the culture here is what it is. Why CWs are a thing. Why image descriptions are a thing. Why privacy matters here. Why moderation tools not only exist, but are usable — and used.

If you had joined and asked yourself "wow, how come this place is so chill and kinda… nice?" — that's thanks to all the nice people from communities some people call "weird".

So #KeepFediWeird.

I have never in my life learned from another person’s mistakes, I would literally let a giant wooden horse into my house right this second.
