Since the niece's friend's daughter is a model (Quannah), she got a Vogue article...
Features much better photos of the #BeadWork blankets.

Inside the Iditarod Sled Dog Race, an Alaska Native Tradition With Cultural Flair

This year, Jody Potts-Joseph—the mother of model Quannah Chasinghorse—outfitted her dogs with special Indigenous-made blankets. “For me, mushing is not a sport—it’s a way of life,” she says.

I thought the sign read
“Haiku Club” not “Hiking Club.”
We walked for hours. Hours.

The really old and lanky white camélia planted by the lady who lived here a long time ago is budding. I cut a few twigs for a bouquet with lots of dark green evergreen foliage. It is slowly unfurling and looks more like a white lisianthus or a rose: very delicate.
The other two old camélias, red, and white streaked with red don’t look like that when they open.
Very end of winter: dark bouquet with dashes of color and light with those blooms.
Sometimes it's the little wins that mean the most.
I’ve been doing a bit of accessibility consulting lately, and the most eye-opening aspect to them has been the middle ground between full-vision and no-vision users. Voice Over is amazing and gets almost all of the attention, but there is a wide range of users with low- or no-mobility or -tactility who can benefit from Voice Control and Switch Control to navigate your UI as designed.
Somehow the other day I was in a mood for Depeche Mode, and stumbled on their live concert in Mexico City in 2025. I’m usually not much for live concert recordings and yet, this is stunning and made me realize/remember what a voice Dave Gahan has!
What pipes! So, a baritone!
This brought to you by my cooking dinner soundtrack in my ear.

I often see people posting Nikita Gill poems here, so let me share a little story.

Her poem ‘For Her’ is one of my favourites, and I told her that it can always bring me to tears, and I realise she didn’t have women like me in mind when she wrote it (as I’m trans), but I hope she didn’t mind me seeing myself in it and sharing the experience.

Her reply: “I wrote this for all women, so this poem is absolutely for you!” 🥹

Good to know! Thanks for the warning, James.
I indeed got one pending it looks like. Just spinning now.

Tiny pearl drop earrings inspired by one of my favourite flowers, the snowdrop. It is the first harbinger of spring here, often pushing up with mighty life-force though ice and snow, showing us there will be a thaw soon. These earrings are delicate and highly detailed, inspired by Victorian adornments.
