This article is a must read.

An excerpt: “Why would anyone fund an Atmosphere project if #Bluesky, with $100 million in the bank, might ship a competing feature at any moment? Why would a founder bet their career on this ecosystem? The presentation didn't just hurt Graze. It made the entire ecosystem look unfundable.”

Why do I keep bringing up this topic?

Because #ATproto is often put in the same category as #ActivityPub (“open protocols yay”) but I strongly disagree with that stance

Again looking at running my own #Mastodon instance and seeing a ton of abandoned projects for lightweight, single-user #ActivityPub servers. Are there options that are actively maintained and ready for use? I've run #Pleroma before but don't actually need a web frontend. Happy to @phanpy and that's it. Suggestions, anyone?
I'm looking for some trustworthy background & context on #WSocial, that allegedly up-and-coming Twitter-killer I don't see anyone talk about. Is it federated? Does it interoperate with the #Fediverse or #ATProto?
I packaged 97 of my media entrepreneur case studies into an ebook spanning 558 pages and over 200,000 words. I'm pretty confident there isn't another book on the market that's packed with this many insights for how to build a successful content business.

If you’re in your car in traffic and you see people moving smoothly on bikes in a protected bike-lane, or a full bus zooming past you in a bus-only lane, sure you could be mad at them for moving faster than you, or you could be someone who understands geometry and knows that providing mobility choices that take less space makes getting around cities better for EVERYONE.

I have been working on #Obsidian Reader for over a year. I didn't want to share it until I felt it was good enough. It's finally there.

Congrats to @wikipedia on its 25th anniversary! Really enjoyed hanging out with Team Belgium in #Brussels today.

Researching my next #Linux laptop and considering an M1 Macbook Air (16GB) for its great screen and built quality. How solid is #asahilinux running on that machine? Besides retina displays, I care a lot about smooth trackpad scrolling and solid support for multi-touch gestures. How are those working out in @AsahiLinux today? Opinions much appreciated!

@zenbrowser is so beautiful, innovative, and useful -- a great example of how a clear product vision can really add value even to a mature code base like #Firefox. Great work!
