Okay gang, it's been fun, but, I'm going somewhere else.

I'm going over to bsd.cafe.

I have my reasons. If you are curious: see my previous rant.

Short version: I am tired of the infosec, quote unquote community. Moving to a community that doesn't have "infosec" in the name seems like a good change.

Standard Fediverse transfers are being initiated now.

Do I have any BSG: Deadlock fans in my timeline?

Because I have got to know. What is your favorite Cylon smashing formation?

Early game, I prefer:

3x Artemis Class Battlestars
2x Berserk Class Light Carriers
2x Adamant Class Frigates

Late game, I prefer:

2x Jupiter Class Battlestars
3x Atlas Class Carriers

I have also been playing around with with this late game formation:

2x Jupiter Class Battlestars
2x Minerva Class Battlestars

Honestly, all the other mid grade ship classes? I could take them or leave them. Massing vipers and raptors has always been my key to victory. Keeping the fleet safe with that flak wall up? Yeah, just standard battle practice.

"All batteries, stand by enemy suppression barrage!"

Period

Hmmm, so the people across the street from me knocked down the rotted out eyesore built in 1890, only to replace it with the most awkwardly placed double wide trailer ever, and now plan to spend the next two years fixing up the other eyesore that was built in the 1930s.

I mean, I guess I should be happy they are keeping my property taxes down. I'm not planning to move anytime soon.

Account notes are fun:

"probably thinks PGP is good --20241218"

Muted

I'm either nostalgic or actually 12 again, but I think I'm gonna re-read Dragonlance Chronicles and Legends.

nuintari's rules of networking 0x3d:

Test your cables.

1st Corollary:

A basic pair mapper is almost never a suffient test.

ARGH!

I run like one program that needs each of these. Not even sure I need both anymore.

ya know, with my cat4mastodon script installed right on my desktop, I don't really need a webbrowser to pontificate on the Fediverse!
This message brought to you from tcsh, printf, UNIX pipes, and some pathetic Perl!
amd I guess, the letter N or something.
