I don’t think that continuing to stoke a whole bunch of people who are constantly on edge, for a myriad of reasons that all boil down to massive life insecurity, is a good thing that leads to good outcomes.

I can’t help but notice how many white Americans without any particular education, work experience or stable job seem able to relocate anywhere in the world like they’re just moving across the street, while everyone else - from anywhere else - has to perform the 12 labors of Hercules, barefoot on broken glass, balancing an egg on their head, on top of having 12 PhDs in "desirable" fields and 52 job offers to choose from as soon as they land
