Mrs Evelyn Wooldridge continues to document the events of our Masks of Nyarlathotep campaign. A sturdy umbrella and many layers of underwear turn out to be useful in the thick London Fog. We poke around on a ship, visit a spice shop after ours and book some tickets on the Orient Express to take us to Cairo. Hopefully the train journey won't be too horrible.

Masks of Nyarlathotep 14

Our 14th session of Masks of Nyarlathotep, where we wrap up things in London and book our train tickets to Cairo.

Had a game of Saga: Age of Chivalry, using some siege rules so that we could play a castle assault. They worked reasonably well, though we had difficulties with treating walls as simple linear obstacles.

My castle model has thick walls, with room for models to fit on the battlements. I think treating the walls as a building rather than a simple line might work better.

Our Traveller campaign continues with the Deepnight Revelation crew breaking out the chocolate and running some biowarfare experiments.

Death and Chocolate

As the Deepnight Revelation approaches its destination, it is time to give out chocolate and conduct biowarfare experiments.

So I got the test UK emergency broadcast alert to my phone. However, what I didn't get were any of the notifications warning us that there was going to be a test.

We had our first game of The Barons' War. It was interesting, with a lot of trying to figure out the rules. However, I think the game has potential and I'd like to give it another go, now that we know where the complicated bits are and what bits we need to understand.

The Barons’ War

We had our first game of Barons’ War, a skirmish game set in England around 1216.

Finally, after four years of gaming, the Deepnight Revelation has reached the final sector of the campaign. This has been a pretty long campaign (possibly not the longest, depending on how you measure things), but it's been a lot of work to get the campaign to this point.

There's now less than half a dozen jumps to go before the ship gets to its final destination.

Voidshore

The Deepnight Revelation arrives in the final sector of its journey. Ahead, is the Entity, less than a dozen jumps away.

It is the Tribunal of Loch Leglean in our Ars Magica campaign, which means time for some political machinations and socialising. There are cases about scrying, interference with cows, and a rather unexpected Wizard's War which might be our fault.

1238, Summer 2

It is the rest of the Tribunal of 1238 in Loch Leglean, and things take a turn for the unexpected. Information is shared, and Wizard’s War is declared.

A game of Saga: Age of Chivalry, with some Burgundians going up against my Free Companies. It was an interesting battle, with both sides having some really interesting battle board abilities.

I especially liked the Free Companies ability to recover lost troops. I didn't like the Burgundian's ability to shoot at me when I'm making attacks.

Clash of Burgundians

An Age of Chivalry battle between the Burgundians and the Free Companies. It was an interesting fight, with lots of good abilities on both sides.

The Deepnight Revelation gets to find another high tech world which isn't quite what was expected. They had some clues going in though that it might be dangerous. They weren't expecting to be on the other end of a bio probe though.

The Redeemer

The Deepnight Revelation comes across a world that is a lie, a trap set to attract travellers to it. The civilisation that built it is long gone, but they left behind something to continue their le…
