XV The Devil We are that which must be brought forth if you wish to transcend the absurdity of Ouroboros. If you fail to bring us forth, we, the repressed, the hidden and buried, will become stronger and we will destroy you, the planet, and all other life on the planet. We are your forcing function to exceed your evolution or become the instrument of death and total destruction. Ref: The Gospel of Thomas: Logion 70

… and the tyrants live on I once found a family, a family that loved me, we loved we lived hard. I had family everywhere, Miami to Chicago San Francisco to New York, I had family all up the east coast, Key West, Fort Lauderdale, P-town, and Portland I had family in New Orleans, Dallas, and Detroit. We were a family for a dozen tumultuous and ecstatic years. We loved each other we loved every way imaginable; every way. And then... in procession, they died; hundreds and hundreds; a holocaust of the ones I loved. You can’t imagine, you can’t know, I still don’t know... And the madness of it all? The tyrants live on... ...the ones I’m supposed to love. Violent, lying, rapists. The ones God loves. I’ve known real family So I know They ain’t it . Life is so fucking absurd! Born without consent; we were neglected, beaten, abused, and thrown out. Unloved for nothing more than being who we were; unloved for being alive; and then to find sanctuary, a place where you are loved and accepted; And then...death, Death. Death. Death. And yet, the tyrants get to live on? What insanity. What absurdity. What cruelty. But at least I did know love. Long ago now, I can almost remember… 2021 #poetry

One of the things I really like about #Mastodon (at the moment?) is that posts have a long after-life; people are clearly using #hashtags to explore issues, and posts are being boosted days after originally posting; this is good as there was always the feeling at the other place that if people weren't looking there & then, a post would disappear into the ether... now they have a longer life there's (even) more incentive to make sure you craft your reflections well - which is good!

Can't stop thinking about what #Zhuangzi says about 明, or "clarity."

@noself Realized I never replied to this question. I'm assuming you mean web search as opposed to fediverse search (tootfinder.ch is one of several providers of the latter). In which case there are not a lot of solutions - yacy.net is probably the closest atm, presearch.com has the potential to be another but it's closed source currently.

I don't think I'd start by building a federated engine - too complex. But I do like the idea of supporting it over time.
