Have you been using #ChatGPT? It seems it is now using Musk's grokipedia as one of it input sources... šŸ˜• https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2026/jan/24/latest-chatgpt-model-uses-elon-musks-grokipedia-as-source-tests-reveal

Latest ChatGPT model uses Elon Musk’s Grokipedia as source, tests reveal

Guardian found OpenAI’s platform cited Grokipedia on topics including Iran and Holocaust deniers

The Guardian
fuck the racist murdering fascist occupying armies in our cities, every day, until the day the world has done away with them forever

The idea is that teachers write a question on the app, and then get all their students to "check in" with how they're feeling.

And then the teacher can see a summary of how each of their students responded.

No human interaction required!

@pluralistic You might get a kick out of this

Are you worried about #AI and your child's mental health?

Worried they might develop an unhealthy relationship with a chatbot, as Copilot gets deployed into classrooms?

Don't worry, #Microsoft has the solution!
https://reflect.microsoft.com/

To this end, Microsoft is commissioning papers to launder theses ideas through more neutral-sounding "Center for Digital Education"

In which they recommend that:
"To become AI-ready and move toward data-driven education, schools need "to have a mature data environment, because AI relies on data," says Greg DeYoung, a cloud solution architect director at Microsoft."

Anything that cannot be quantified by data is at-best ignored or at-worst actively worked against.

How well do students interact with each other in class?
āŒNot quantifiable, ignored.

How confident do students feel in their abilities to think and create? āŒUnquantifiable, irrelevant.

How well can students write without using AI tools?
āŒCan't turn that into data, sorry

#ai and #edtech are all about changing everything in schools into #data

Microsoft sells data-driven metrics to school administrators and governments, so that they can show "concrete" numbers going up.

To teachers they sell the idea that if enough data is gathered about the students, AI will magically be able to suggest how to teach better.

Making education all about exam scores is something we've seen in the past, but this is taking it a step further.

@pluralistic Hi, we are a group of parents in Vancouver that are trying to push back against local school board plans to deploy Microsoft Copilot into classrooms.

We have started a petition to show that parents are concerned and do not consent to their children using genAI in classrooms.

It would help so much if you could share it.
