Community College Faculty Maker
I'm on the faculty at Folsom Lake College, where I direct the efforts of the Innovation Center, a discipline-agnostic, general education hub for innovation (and comprehensive makerspace). We document our work at http://flcinnovation.org I earned my Ed.D. studying community college faculty makers.

Just out here using a chainsaw to carve stumps into janky woodland furniture.
This new Tetrachords module by Cycle Instruments has really unlocked some things in my modular. Something I've been wanting is a sense of chord progression. I've tried precision adders, user-defined scales in Metropolix, and some Ornament and Crime things, but Tetrachords is absolutely the most intuitive and performative way I've found to move through chord progressions.

Fascinating keynote "The Intersection of Freire and Constructionism in Brazil," a history lesson from Ann and Jose Valente (OG constructionists!). Video of the conversation between absolute legends Papert and Freire is a mindblow. #FLC2023

Closing in on mile 100 of the Colorado Trail!
Laika's Last Wish (my bandmate Dustin and I) played an outdoor set of grooves based on historical California wildfire data (acres burned) as part of a larger rock opera called Fire/Land last evening.
Endless acres of burned trees.
