Several people sent me this: Github is no longer an independent company; rather as of today Github is *under* the AI team. As far as I'm concerned, this is an open admission the function of Github is not to host source code, but rather as an intake for Microsoft to *harvest* source code to train their AI.
I guess it always seemed unlikely MS would've paid all that money to altruistically host the open source community. "Oh, I didn't get rich by writing a lot of checks…"
The UK may be about to lose access to Wikipedia as they've lost their High Court Challenge to OSA.
You can download Wikipedia by installing the @kiwix app https://kiwix.org/en/applications/
Then use https://library.kiwix.org/ to find Wikipedia, or any other interesting book. It will download a file (Wikipedia is 110gb) that you can then open in the Kiwix browser
I will probably be selling my Spectrum Next KS2 as well shortly.
I'm selling some of my retro machines that I never get around to using. The Atari STe and 800XL are up now. Both in great condition with everything you need to get started.

It is perhaps no particular surprise that the UK trade body for age assurance services - product to shift! - argues that service providers within the scope of the #OnlineSafetyAct should subject users with VPNs to additional surveillance, with no mention of over-blocking or data protection law.
> Digital services using age assurance to remain compliant, can do so by detecting VPN use, assessing risk using behavioural clues, and giving flagged users the option to verify their age or prove their location
