Het systeem van de ANPR-politiecamera's is overbelast. Sinds mei 2023 kunnen er geen nieuwe politiezones aansluiten op de nationale databank van de camera's met nummerplaatherkenning. De partij Groen kaart het probleem aan, maar ook Nicholas Paelinck van de lokale politie wordt vaak geconfronteerd met moeilijkheden. "Na jarenlang vragen voor een oplossing hebben we er zelf al een uitgewerkt. Het blijft alleen wachten op goedkeuring."

The EU initiative Going Dark has now been launched by the EU Commission. They call it ProtectEU.

It’s a rebranding of Chat Control. New name. Same old propaganda.

The EU Commission’s goal is to “access encrypted data in a lawful manner, safeguarding cybersecurity and fundamental rights.”
