Just sharing something I learned a bit ago

I think everybody knows the “Bliss” wallpaper from Windows XP.

The original photo was taken by Charles O’Rear on medium format color reversal (slide) film, specifically Fujifilm Velvia 50. He shot it on a Mamiya RZ67.

The first image is the original. The second is the version that shipped with Windows XP.

I asked for your help to secure enough food for just one week.

Help Sehwel family with their medical treatment

I'm Joe in the UK, I've been in touch with Aseel from the Sehwel family for over a year now and have been following their difficult struggle to afford medication, shelter and food in Gaza. I'm creating this Chuffed campaign for the family to help afford these things and hopefully help them get out of Gaza when the opportunity arises. Here's Aseel's writing:

Today, the price of 1 kilogram of flour is 200 shekels (about $60) — and that’s without any withdrawal fees.
But with a 45% fee on cash withdrawals, we need to take out 364 shekels (around $109) just to buy it.

And that’s for a single kilo of flour that can’t even feed a family of six for one day.

Head's up, the "you must confirm your profile" scam is proliferating on the Fediverse. I wonder if they are trying to gather driver's licenses and credit card numbers? It's a scam.
