Bazzite June 2026 Update

It’s that time once again! As of today, Kernel 7.0.9 is available on our stable branch, along with Valve’s VRAM patch set (Functional on both KDE & GNOME), Mesa 26.1, Bazaar 0.8.1, Nvidia-open 610, various Xbox controller fixes, and more! Additionally, Bazzite-DX is now on our Fedora 44 base and once again building in lockstep with stable, and the Fedora 44 version of our deck images has hit testing! Our latest numbers for the fun of downloads of #GIMP 3.2.4:

* Released on April 19
* More than 2.67 million downloads of the Windows version (installer + MS Store)
* Nearly 350k downloads of the macOS packages
* More than 350k "active devices" for the Snap
* More than 220k downloads of the last Flatpak revision (6 days old!)
* More than 50k of the AppImages
* Total: ~ 3.65 millions of *known* downloads of version 3.2.4.
* 43 days since release, that's more than 80k downloads a day in average.

More than 10 years later... The original Pebble (2013 - still working!) vs. the new Pebble Time 2 (2026). I’m so excited!

Finally, a decent smartwatch again with long battery life, an e-paper display, proper buttons - and the cherry on top, a fully open-source firmware!

We recently held the Phosh Contributors Meeting 2026 in the Linuxhotel, Essen, Germany with contributors joining from India, Sweden, Czech Republic and Germany.
