A year ago today, I was in this hospital bed, undergoing surgery to remove a large portion of my stomach filled with cancer. It feels like both yesterday and a lifetime ago. The last year has been full of hard days, healing, and change I never could have imagined, but also so much love and hope.

Productive appointment w/ vestibular neurology today. Going back on Topirimate to help w/ the everyday migraines, & I’ll be getting 31 injections (yes, 31 🙃) to get the cervicogenic headaches under control. He thinks I may have Meniere’s disease, which could explain the vertigo, tinnitus, ear pressure, & fluctuating hearing loss. We’ll know more once we see how this medication affects my hearing.

It’s a lot, but @ least there’s a plan. Hoping this next stretch brings relief. #chronicillness
