Failed to update my Studio Display XDR. The alert tells me to try again in an hour or contact Apple support. That's oddly specific.
iPadOS 26 does some weird things with the edge highlights. They're like 95 degrees (vs. 45 on iOS) and they rotate with the device orientation. So in portrait they show up on the top and bottom of the icon/widget, but in landscape they're on the left and right side of them. And it always looks weird. Also, as I already mentioned, they're way too strong on widgets.
What is this?

Recently (iPadOS 26.4?) Apple added a stroke border to windows to help them stand out when layered on top of each other. macOS had this for years, but iOS was always focused on the pure approach when it comes to outlines on things and was mostly flat.

It lowkey looks ugly, but I guess it helps. Previously it could be hard to tell where one window starts and where the other ends, more so in dark mode.

Why exactly is CMD + Space so unreliable on iPad? The search function key works fine.

Is there a trick to make showing/hiding sections with NSDiffableDataSourceSnapshot.apply(...) smoother?

Right now it looks a bit unwieldy with the overlapping views and the abrupt disappearance when removing the section. #UIKit

I can’t get over the fact that the blue card is shorter visually than the yellow one. It might just be an illusion because of the glass effect on the blue one, but argh.
Working on something cool for @gamery #BuildInPublic #Swift
I still don't know who at Apple thought this title + subtitle transition was a good idea. The title becomes smaller and the subtitle larger. And why is there a fade and not a smooth scale effect on these labels? It looks so careless. #UIKit #SwiftUI
The edge highlight is still way too strong on widgets in dark mode. They toned it down on the icons, where it looks better.
