I really, really hate how now I get suspicious every time a friend shows me something they "made".
Did they use AI? It already happened twice that they indeed did (a shirt design and the cover of a book). But now I'm even looking at stuff (a concert flyer) made by a professional graphic designer and go like: "Wait, that's usually not his style."
I hate this so much.
I just opted out of Meta using all my data on facebook and Instagram to train their AI. But they mention that they can't guarantee that AI won't be trained on your own material that other people have shared. How is this compliant with copyright laws? Because as far as I know, the copyright still lies with us as artists, not with the people who share it.
I'm against art being used to create generative bots that will just copy the art styles cheaply. Including music.

I participated in a Japanese speech competition yesterday, organised by the Japanese embassy in the Netherlands to commemorate 425 years of Dutch-Japanese relations.
