I've been experimenting with new modes in my devicetree formatter.
Not live yet, I only just got far enough to make this example work and it needs more thorough unit testing, but this would improve readability for things like combos and conditional layers where you have a lot of short nodes with the same properties.
The tabular formatting is based on the same code I use for formatting a layout's JSON.
Went out to see Christmas lights in the neighbourhood with my wife and parents in-law when we found one of those elaborate LED displays synchronized to music.
She took this stunning photo at the end of a song right before learning that the camera was not in video mode.
Did a little more soldering, what a mess. Re-did the top rows to point the diodes across the base of the switch. Every time I do this I keep kidding myself into thinking this wire won't be too stiff to work with in such small spaces.
Assuming the rest of this (joining up columns, adding the nice!nano, and squeezing in a battery/switch/reset button, I vow to do a better job of the right half.
Starting to handwire a #corne #mechanicalkeyboard using a 3D printed wiring jig I designed to hold the hotswap sockets in place.
I designed it months ago and only now get to see my stupid decisions (like trying to solder to something just barely sticking up above thermoplastic).
This is actually going better than I thought, honestly.
I used to enjoy incorporating flashy visuals into presentations. Here's an older one from a demo at work about keyboard ergonomics
I've been lurking on Mastodon for a while and figured it's time to actually post an #introduction and start sharing my projects. I like writing software and to generally just #make stuff, like:
- my star projector that uses star catalog data to accurately project points of light.
- my #dactyl keyboard re-designed in #OpenSCAD and built from laser cut acrylic
And for the past couple of years my main side project has been creating a visual keymap editor for #zmk #mechanicalkeyboards
