Wow, using a Raspberry Pi with an SSD feels so much faster! This beats some "real" computers I've used! It boots up in no time, the browser opens nearly instantly, software installs zip by, etc. I'm impressed!
(Also, I think this tiny little 2230 SSD adapter I found on eBay is super cute :)
I just lost $0.03 selling on ebay. Ebay charged me a $1.02 fee on an item that sold for $0.99.
The buyer paid $5.40 ($0.99 for the item + $3.96 shipping + $0.45 tax). Ebay used to increase the shipping price to account for their fees, but stopped doing this recently, leading to situations like this on low-cost items.
(Note: the screenshot shows $4.95, which excludes the tax. However, ebay's fee is based on the total amount including tax.)
I set up my wife's record player the other day and noticed her speakers also had an optical input. So today I connected a Raspberry Pi with shairport-sync for Airplay from her iPhone and headless Plexamp for my music.
Now we can both play music from our phones without having to fuss about with bluetooth! Very happy with how it turned out!

Just finished replacing the screen in a family member's iPhone!
I could live with never having to do that again. (It's in a beefy case now, so hopefully I won't.)
Still, it feels good to know that we saved this $1000 device from the landfill for about $20 in parts (and a few hours of my time.)
I'm super thankful to ifixit for the guide! I don't think I would have managed to do it correctly without that.
I finally beat Cyberpunk 2077 - it was a fun game, I liked it!
It ran great on the GPD Win Mini.
Maybe I'll play the Phantom Liberty expansion next.
I recently thought about how there are train tracks running through Troy that go all the way from Toledo to Cincinnati, and wondered if it was possible to get a passenger ticket along that route.
I was initially pleasantly surprised to learn that you *can* get an Amtrak ticket from Toledo to Cincinnati! But it takes a suspiciously long time ...and has a transfer ...in Chicago 🤦
