This weekend’s tech project has been to build an auto-running crypto tool that uses standard methodologies to trade based on a variety of triggers.
I only have <£250 in BTC, having lost 26% in the recent drops.
I ran this tool through the BTC from the last six months and it would have reduced my losses to just 11%. Amazing.
It has strategies to buy for growth but also to protect when things appear to be going down the drain. It can use Kraken API, but not letting it loose just yet!

[EDIT: now sorted thank you SO MUCH!]

Heads up my dudes, my son needs to do work experience this summer and he's a programmer. Nearly 15, can do 3 decent languages, main in Java, been programming since 4. All he wants to do is be a developer. Anyone offer work experience these days? Two weeks in July. London or Dartford way or anywhere in between. Ta! Retoots appreciated!

"If you want to improve the model's output, you can write skill files with more specific instructions!"

"Oh wow so like a file that tells the computer to do exactly what you want?"

"Yep!"

"You're never gonna believe this."

“Helsinki hasn’t registered a single traffic-related fatality in the past year…Citing data that shows the risk of pedestrian fatality is cut in half by reducing a car’s speed from 40 to 30km/hr, city officials imposed the lower limit in most of Helsinki’s residential areas and city center in 2021.”

Helsinki just went a full year without a single traffic death

The capital city is Finnish’ed with car-related fatalities.

Not the greatest of months, but a decent selection, and a couple that have not hit the table in a long while. #BoardGames
Another Side of Staying Human [563]

Greetings from Steel Town...

Nursing my 2017 MacBook Pro (Intel!!) which can just about handle my side projects but can no longer run a handful of genuinely useful productivity tools.

Waiting on the M5 Pro announcement - at least we now have a date for that of early March.

Full of snot and feeling pants. All spelling and grammatical errors are proof of life.

It might still be worth a read though...

Whatever the output gains promised by LLMs, their initial productivity surge is erased over time, and replaced by heavier workloads—and that leads to workers experiencing “cognitive fatigue, burnout, and weakened decision-making.”

All this from research out of the notoriously pro-worker rag [checks notes] Harvard Business Review: https://hbr.org/2026/02/ai-doesnt-reduce-work-it-intensifies-it
