It's unbearable to scroll past posts about harassers & abusers, victims' statements, then go on about your day with all the personal traumas erupting on a deeper level, allowing you to function with a taste of vomit up your throat. Almost impossible to be a girl and not have gone through that.
#Intermezzo the latest novel by Sally Rooney, is her best work till now. It is heart breakingly beautiful, recounting the relationship between two brothers who lose their dad and navigate their complicated relationships and self images. I have read it in commute over five days and couldnt lay it down upon arrival. I'm on the verge of texting her asking her for book recommendations!
