And 33 lumps of dirt and rock later, I've #hiked all major public #catskill #mountains above 3500'.
Now just 3 more winter hikes to "officially" get the 3500' club patch, but I'm damned proud to have completed this challenge to myself when I first found that orange canister on #SouthwestHunter in March.

I don't want #AI. I don't want emergency messaging. I don't want shitty AI 100x zoom. I just want my device to not think I'm hiking at 48mph, or bouncing along like a beach ball. Only bought this because I got a good deal and my old phone had a cracked screen that was slowly getting worse.
Should have known, never buy a Google product before they get a solid burn in. One of these days I'll learn this lesson.

I'm very excited to have the last 5-6 years worth of trails and activities #selfhosted in my #homelab and not stuck in some vendor lock-in hellhole.
Really recommend checking it out if you're into #hiking and since you're on the #fediverse already.... Why not add one more platform to the collection. Very easy to stand up via docker.
Would be really interesting to see this grow into its own community, I could easily see a server for the #catskills or Southern #newyork being stood up.
A whole herd of deer just took off behind me. I get up to go see what all the commotion was about and there's just this one left. Staring at me. Waaaatttccchhiinnggg me.
Wooooophh slog of a hike. Just a green tunnel the entire way. The little river was the only redeeming part of this trail, and as one alltrails review put it, the porta potty as well.
Booked a little getaway for myself cause I knew it was gonna be a tough one. Made it worth it!
