Your body knows information your brain hasn't processed yet.

The tightness, the restlessness, and the exhaustion were there long before.

I think one of my favorite symptoms of ADHD is the emotional regulation problems. If I'm having a bad day, it's really easy for the smallest and stupidest things to trip me up and leave me on the verge of a melt down, if not actually melting down.

It really fucking sucks to be a grown ass adult who has to
fight to keep myself from throwing a fucking temper tantrum like a toddler, just because my damn brain's wired wrong.

My list of ADHD tax gets bigger:

Today I left toilet paper in Thalia (a book shop).

At least I get to enjoy the alliteration.

I know language is a living thing, always changing, and it's all valid.
BUT it really bugs me when nouns are used as verbs and vice versa. Like:
- "I setup your system" instead of "I set up your system"
- "This set up is not working" instead of "This setup is not working"
I think what bothers me the most is that it's unclear. Like in the second example.. Is the process of setting up not working, or is the configuration of the system not working?

Being too much for some people means you found the wrong people.

long before I heard the word “Autism,” I knew I was an outside observer, an alternative perspective 💜

Boundaries Aren’t a Wall. They’re a Signal.

Boundaries aren't a personality trait you either have or don't. They're a signal. The point at which something shifts from manageable to depleting. The reason most people miss them is that they've spent so long overriding the signal they only notice when it's already been crossed.

We Held Onto Hope… But It Slipped Away 💔
We had planned to celebrate our one-year milestone at the shelter on 24th May with treats, gifts and love for the cats.
Unfortunately, due to no contributions or support received, we have to cancel the celebration for now. This is really disheartening for us, but we understand that times can be tough.
We truly hoped to make it special for the cats, and maybe we’ll be able to celebrate even bigger next year.

@mavu 2005. Ouch! I think at some point my brain just says that's enough and blocks the old ones. But 2018 is still fresh.

Reply to my pharmacy [in my head]: "Sorry for ignoring your 'Ready to collect' text messages! I've been stuck at home with no motivation for the last [enter the amount] days. I greatly appreciate your patience."
