Oh and we all know this is gonna end in either tears or me buying some magical device that can also have like 8tb storage.

How I configured my Pi 5 as a headless selfhosting server

big update to my little software - it now supports almost all general operations on #raspberrypi meaning that its ready for you to use together with your favourite #LLM as a natural-language way of asking your #raspi for instance to install software or debug a problem:

soo - last test for now of my #raspberrypi gamerbox vs #AI assistants: just ask the system what it is doing man.

Also now has support for local #LLM if you dont wanna tango with for instance claude

check it: http://github.com/nbhansen/retromcp

also do note that what this basically does (hidden behind an .env file but still) is give a damn LLM root access to your raspberry pi so ahem. Dont keep your nudes or plans for bloody revolt on there maybe? :p I have parcelled it out nicely so you can NOT use that part, but then now you have to go and install your own packages i mean, who wants to do remember commands for that in 2025?
(that repo would have been like 20% of the size if i werent kinda obsessive about doing TDD because it keeps me honest)

kind of proud of my latest project, a Model-Context-Protocol (#mcp) interface for ahem, my #raspberrypi 5 running Retropie - basically what it does, is allow me to command an #LLM in natural language to figure out issues on the little #retrogaming box. So like "why isnt my controller detected on N64" etc. It can also MAKE THE CHANGES.

Do give it a gander here and please suggest improvements - 100% local AI Is on the list so we dont need claude but lets see.

I can't lie, I have had trust issues since 8bitdo promised an ISO Nordic version of this retro keyboard but never delivered
i switched my #fedora #linux to KDE Plasma 6.4 instead of Gnome and uhm so far I love it. Also love how simple that switch was you know? <3 #yearofthelinuxdesktop
