radio gaga is such an interesting monster to me b/c ppl and sources say it "imitates" human voices but to be completely honest it actually just speaks human languages. it acts completely intelligently. it really stuck with me in particular when it starts mocking them and calling them horrible people while quite literally attempting to pulverise their bones and digest them. it isn't just imitating sounds it's actively psychologically tormenting them lol
the most common "actually pretty scary" human mimic idea is of course monster that speaks and lures you into position... but i enjoy like, trying to imagine how another type of creature could maximize looking human from its danger angle while still being something else and perhaps being detectable through a dump stat sense humans are worse with. smell is the classic of course
sometimes people try to write stories about human mimics that are obviously fucked up looking to set off your creepiness response. but i think if a human mimic was meant to fool humans (as opposed to scaring other creatures) then it would prioritize sight beyond all senses to fool
ant mimicking spiders are so fucking funny like. Hold on. Something is... wrong here...
them
do you see them?
this is written in the prima strategy guide to real life
moth spirit that lives exclusively on human tears and routinely comes back to cause horrible things to happen to you so you cry again
