This week I've had one interview today and another setup tomorrow. Let the luck of the Irish rub off on me this March that I get hired.πŸ€žπŸ€
So after venting and talking to my wife. I'm at the point where I don't seem to have enough skills to be hired, just enough for multiple rounds of interviews. I've been looking into getting azure and AWS certification to show I know what I'm talking about ( we can have the experience over certification argument another time). I've moved all of my stuff to Linux. For Homelab, should I bother learning AWS and Azure or stick to Linux server. My main goal is to become a network engineer. So I might just be spinning my wheels. I'm not sure what to do besides getting more Cisco lab work under my belt.
It would be great if Wireshark can stop crashing on me as I try to learn the damn thing!?🀬 Not sure if it's Debian 12 issue or the Wireshark.
So new news, I'm no longer unemployed. I have been offered a contract job for asset management and imaging for a aero space company in my hometown. The role can lead to permanent position. Now I really need to get my homelab servers up and running. I have a small dell PowerEdge running windows server 2016 to learn SCCM and in tune. My other server is an 8th Gen HP server I'm trying to get Proxmox to load on but keep running into it not booting but going back to the ProLiant startup page. #homelab
I saw this meme and thought it was a joke. So I looked it up and took a screenshot and now I have questions about boot leather and how can it taste really TASTE that good?
Oh goodie. My profile is looking great. To bad it won’t fucking pay my bills or get me hired.
So I've been spending the last few months getting off Google and Microsoft for email, however I still have them both for a few accounts still. I've since moved to protonmail but now they too seem to be problematic. At this rate it seems you have to host your own email server, to keep your privacy and not support business that doesn't align with your own values.

@[email protected] Corporate capture of Dems is real. In 2022, we campaigned extensively in the US for anti-trust legislation. Two bills were ready, with bipartisan support. Chuck Schumer (who coincidently has two daughters working as big tech lobbyists) refused to bring the bills for a vote. At a 2024 event covering antitrust remedies, out of all the invited senators, just a single one showed up - JD Vance. 1/2

What I find hypocritical of Ken Paxton is he's also attempting to imprison anyone providing healthcare to women in his state and wanting to collect data. Feels a little pot calling the kettle
The more I use Debian as my main computer since pulling the plug on my windows 10 box I am finding the simplisity of running commands in terminal much nicer then just downloading and running a program in Windows. I can see whats going into the computer and most guides I have found also offer explaination as to why your typing the command. I just setup virtualbox on my laptop so I can load windows as a vm for my TrytoHackme SOC course
Just finished spending the day with my wife celebrating our 20th anniversary. If you were to tell me back in 2002 I'd meet someone and spend over 20 years with them AND have a kid. I'd laugh my ass off. That said I'm happy and can't wait to have more adventures with her.
