So we built a new library website where you can see & download all your zines!
The GPX file contains not only the actual route but also a large number of additional points (purple flags in the screenshot) with turn-by-turn navigation instructions (turn left, etc.). During the run, my Garmin device struggled to keep up because there was such a point every few meters - on top of Garminâs own navigation logic.
Long story short: does anyone have an efficient way to strip these navigation points from the GPX file and keep only the clean route? (2/3)
I recently used the new Suunto Route Planner to create a loop in the Siebengebirge as preparation for the Rureifel Trail. Since Iâm a Garmin user, I exported the route as a GPX file and imported it into Garmin Connect. (1/3)

@recollir Yes, for example this is âjustâ running on the right. On the left you see roughly the same area in Garmin with the running heatmap, too.
This is also a great comparison how good the Suunto map actually is with displaying the heatmap while keeping the map readable. Garmin definitely needs to improve here.
Bike heatmap is more evenly distributed, but for hiking itâs similar to running and trail running with a lot more of heat in the French speaking area.
@recollir Thatâs a very solid tool. I tested it yesterday and it performed exactly as expected. Thatâs rare these days.

Das ist als Projekt komplett tot. Letzte Woche gab es in den Räumen von Planetscale in SFO eine von Percona gesponsorte Krisenkonferenz zum Thema. Percona unterhält einen Slack-Server zum Thema. Im erweiterten FOSDOM-Umfeld wird es ein weiteres solches Treffen in Brßssel geben. Das Ziel ist die Schaffung einer Foundation fßr MySQL. Es ist unklar, ob Oracle eine solche Foundation unterstßtzen wird und wie.
MariaDB ist ein Form von MySQL, der sich um 2010 herum gebildet hat und der seit 15 Jahren getrennt entwickelt wird. MariaDB ist in den Datenformaten auf Disk, im Protokoll, bei der Authentisierung und in der SQL Syntax nicht mehr mit MySQL kompatibel.
Insbesondere kann MariaDB nicht zu MySQL replizieren oder anders rum, auĂer im total veralteten Single-Threaded Statement Based Replication Format, FALLS beide Server in der Anwendung sich dabei auf das SQL beschränken, das beide Server als Schnittmenge verstehen.
Um MariaDB gab es eine Reihe von Verwirrungen, mit einer gescheiterten Kommerzialisierung (mit einem SPAC), Venture-Kapitalgebern, die die Reste vom SPAC gekauft haben, und anderen Geschichten.
TL;DR: Verwende Postgres.
