Wrote up a blog post on our recent trip to Big Thicket National Preserve! We saw pitcher plants, we saw a snapping turtle, we saw a gulf coast toad! And a few notes on the visitor center and its relation to the Museum of Jurassic Technology.

Took our Pitcher Plant Princess print out to Big Thicket to meet some lovely pitcher plants! I could not believe how many we saw along the Pitcher Plant Trail. (duh)
The rangers told us that we were in luck, because previously all the plants were knocked over by some rather large moths! But due to recent rains, a new generation of pitcher plants were in full bloom.
If you're ever in the piney woods of east Texas, you should check it out!
Restocked our risograph printed banana slug notepads! I usually keep a few of these, or our green notepad, on hand to write out To Do Lists and generally drain my brain.
