A gong vibrates with far more complexity than the air around it reveals. Some of its deepest motions stay mostly in the metal itself. By placing contact microphones directly on the surface, I captured vibrations that conventional microphones usually miss...

Built because I’m bad at negotiation: BidWix. The point is a fair price, not “meet in the middle”. Buyer submits a secret max, seller a secret min; if they overlap, it suggests one fair price. Free, no ads, no account. https://BidWix.com
The fast, fair way to agree on a price — BidWix

One-shot negotiation without back-and-forth. A bargaining mechanism where honesty is your best strategy.

Stephane from @mynoise has built a tool for getting fair (for both parties) prices in contract work without the hassle of negotiation. Might be good for those in #gamedev doing contract work for art or music or similar. Worth checking out : https://bidwix.com

They were outdated. But the HD-600 is still my favorite!

That's a shitty review indeed — approved by Google. (I’m less upset with the reviewer than with Google)

#GoodMorning and #TZAG everyone

The last few days, I've been exploring the MyNoise® app and website, made by @mynoise. This Toot will be about my first experiences with it. And no, I've not been paid in any way to write this. I actual paid to use the app all by myself!

I never thought this would be something that I would be able to enjoy. I always wanted music 🎶 on my headphones. I never thought sounds like cobbling creeks and falling rain would be able to soothe me. My ADHD was too restless, my tinnitus was too loud, and how could I relax with soundscapes? 🤔

But, someone on here mentioned the website, mynoise.net and I checked out some of the free sounds. I tried to support the site so I could try more of the sounds and support the maker for his hard work. But something went wrong. I contacted the talent behind the site, and got a quick response back! Which was awesome. They informed me about the app support, which would be a bit more expensive, but it offered easier usage when using the phone a lot. It sounded very interesting, so yeah... I took the plunge!

The kindness of the creator was bigger than "just" sending me a quick message back. They offered me the usage of the website as well...

I've been trying out different options in both the app as on the site. I still have no idea on how to use all the options. There are so many ways to use all the sounds. And... The web version (when logged in) has even more options! There is a way to create your own soundscape and share it with the community.   I've never tried it out myself (well, not yet, that is!) but I've heard some of the sounds that other users made. Some are pretty good!

Well, I guess I better get ready to leave the house and help mum with the groceries. Let's see if we can empty out some German stores  Hihi... Ow and maybe... I can find a new pair of sneakers, as my soles are getting awfully thin and all that.... 🫣

Wishing you all a wonderful day!  catch you all later folks!
