I want to thank Iowa State Rep. Ken Croken.
He is risking his office by consistently and loudly advocating for trans people in a state increasingly hostile to us and getting treated terribly for it.
If you are in his district, please consider supporting him.
I guess I'm glad they studied this, but duh!
STUDY of hospitalized patients exposed to symptomatic visitors with URTI (upper respiratory tract infections) finds that many get infected. "Visitors are essential to patient care but those with URTIs pose a risk to patients. Visitors should avoid visiting when sick and adhere to hospital protocols including hand hygiene, personal protective equipment usage and compliance with masking policies."

Heyyy we're doing an awesome May Day Eve #CancelParty with Indivisible Brooklyn and Comix Action on 4/30!
Come hang out and cancel software and services you don't need -- and stick it to the billionaires!

Have you been meaning to cut back on all that money you send billionaires but just never find the time? Hang out with comics creators and CANCEL unneeded services and software from billionaire-owned companies. We'll talk about stuff we've ditched and alternatives we've found and cancel stuff together throughout the evening! A great way to get yourself ready for May Day Strong! Hosted by Indivisible Brooklyn and [Comix Action](https://comixaction.com). Moderated by comics writer Greg Pak; featuring advocate, editor, and podcaster Jay Edidin; tech journalist Glenn Fleishman; and comics writers Danny Lore and Ethan Sacks! (And yes, the event is from 7-8:30 pm ET like it says in the listing, not 7-9:30 pm like it says in the graphic. We're gonna update the graphic shortly! :-))
