#DüsseldorfWatched "Project Hail Mary" the film is very good.
It does not need to be that good.
The most illogical thing in this sci-fi film/story is that a lot of countries on Earth bundled together for the science project.
If you have time and thinking should I go to the cinema to watch something, watch the "Project Hail Mary". A very wholesome movie.
As with all structural problems ... ( And I am considering the slop acceptance to be a structural problems, and also workers agency and rights problem. ) ... organising is the key. And I need to start organising against this somehow.
I am in the picture: "For AI to prevail only require for the good people to do nothing" and I don't like it.
I am doing anything that can help to squash the shovelware process? Not really. The email draft about why I think using AI in the org "is bad actually", that I need to share with my manager and so on, is still draft in my inbox.
The reading of internal policy on AI tools didn't bring a good anti enforcement method.
My anti AI advocacy is also just telling people that it is bad and waiting when they got back to me with same.
I am slightly dishearted seeing that 70% of code committers in my org are using "AI assisted code completion". But then again for some year same org mandated that 70% of people should make a commits, without any regards if their role actually demand this or not.
I am mainly concerned that this shovelware will flow in production environments in bigger amounts. And the moment it will impact infra it would be mine problem, cause infra is shared.

please know
that there is nobody
who looks forward to the day
when I can stop writing these
more than me.

404 MediaKingsyard sent me another feeder to try, and this one is fun because it's a critter feeder! I filled it with seeds and Black Walnuts (I got tons from last year still that have been curing) and waited for them to figure it out. It took a couple of days, but they did! Chipmunk first and then a squirrel parade 😆 You can take the screen out for easy cleaning and lid and front are flexible. For a discount in their Amazon shop, use OSTDROSSEL.
