If you enjoy watching old people fail to read the room, watch somebody try to tell students that Generative AI is the next industrial revolution:

New blog:

I’ll get straight to the point: your AI coding agent, the one you use to write code, needs to reduce your maintenance costs. Not by a little bit, either. You write code twice as quick now? Better hope you’ve halved your maintenance costs. Three times as productive? One third the maintenance costs. Otherwise, you’re screwed. You’re trading a temporary speed boost for permanent indenture.

Oh, you want to know *why?* Sure. Let’s go for a drive.

James Shore: You Need AI That Reduces Maintenance Costs

Stedejlik Museum in Amsterdam have a "House of Dust" poem on display.
I have read about it quite a lot, but newer imagined that I could see it in real.

I don't like current "AI" craze, due to multiple reasons but this 1965 example of generative poem I quite enjoy.

Also dot matrix printers... I can imagine, very vividly, the screech from the moments this was born to paper.

Had a very good visit to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
Amazingly huge and enormous exposition. Spent there 3.5 hours.
Still have a stuff to see.

By the end I was both exhausted and touched by the painter story.
And as the ending line of the story the mental health is no joke.
Take care of yourself people.
Once more clojure deliver successfully in #clojuredays . The clojure conferences for me are "not like the others". There is something very interesting about loselly bound communities that found their path to common point, which is strangely clojure, and are now want to share stuff.
I still not able to point why this is awesome. Have you?
#ClojureDays
Dutch clojure days is very very thoughtful experience, so far.
and with all this madness going around I missed the Claire Obscure concert.
Oh well. Slightly sad to miss this obscure possibility.

And I don't see the good solution for this problem in the broken corporate IT development systems.
Those systems are not designed to produce software. Those systems design to maximise CEO profits and shift blame to the future.

Sit on this riverbank long enough and you will see the skeleton rafts of broken promises crash on the shallow of reality.

"This is not my problem, yet"

There is a trap although of setting up bunch of builds and then ignoring their results and pretending that nothing bad is happening.
And this trap is setup for people who start to look and who have a broken internal self regulation. People who feel obligated to fix the problem, again due to broken internal motivation.
It is very hard for me to ignore such broken things, mostly because they will be a mine problem in the future. This happend much more than once, so it will happen again.
