Where’s the similar hall of shame for people who decide that a phone number input should either be:
absolutely digits only (+ -, spaces, just strip them out)
or
follow some prefix format like area codes are somehow distinct parts now
I’m looking at you Apple Store that provides 3 seperate fields for a number, with 0 example of how you expect a UK number to be split up except via trial and error. And it’s in a way no one else does.

The companies have launched a pilot program in Atlanta, where “during the rare event a vehicle door is left ajar, preventing the car from departing, nearby Dashers are notified, allowing Waymo to get its vehicles back on the road quickly.”
