Thought provoking new campaign ad from the Green Party of England and Wales. Strong and thoughtful message - it makes the other English parties look like dishwater.

Remember "don't print this email" in signatures that was a bit cringe? It doesn't feel that cringe anymore in retrospect. I'm doing an experiment now with this new email signature :D Anyone doing something similar? Could it catch on?

edit: BTW please absolutely steal/modify this idea if you want!

London friends - a rare chance to see Funki Porcini's amazing Laserium is coming up:

I spent a lot of time in the 90s working on Y2K. It wasn't a huge panic. It was just a slice out of everything else we spent auditing code. It wasn't "spend 80 hours a week fixing this." It was just boring. Incredibly boring. And we made it be ok by being bored and fixing stuff.

And the one thing I never thought would happen was that people would say it was never a problem. Oh good grief, it was a problem. All over. We just fixed it. Like we thought grownups should do when there's a problem.

@ghalfacree Ooo, I thought we couldn’t claim outside the US.
@Workshopshed Always. Have to gently rattle them too.
@withaveeay I have experienced this many times and agree it makes no sense whatsoever, yet there it is.

Apple in 2026 is giving users problems with window resizing. Something what we mastered in early 90s was in dire need of disruption. Can't innovate my ass.

Absurd Trolley Problems

Every problem is the trolley problem.

@dougbarry Love Jellyfin but have suffered reliability problems. Will probably revisit sometime in the future.
