Thank Pug for smart people. Someone built a Do Not Disturb Sync solution that works with the #PixelWatch. Need to sideload the APKs to the phone and the watch, and then when the Phone goes into DND, the Watch does too. An adb command is required to be run non the watch, but that's easy enough if you've used adb before.
Ok so that's a lot of stuff I don't like or annoyed me, but it does do a lot of things right.
I haven't had a remote shutter on a watch for years. The FitBits can't do that, and I love that the #PixelWatch gives me this feature back
Media Controls show up automatically and I can control my phone's playback through it easily. This includes Spotify Connect playing through Sonos for example.
Having native apps on the watch is nice. I added Home Assistant, but still need to customize it
Saw a VW ID.4 yesterday with the plate "ID4ME" and that was pretty clever 😂
It's also pretty lame that the complex and powerful notification customizations on the Pixel Phone do nothing on Android Wear. They also don't carry over to a new phone, as I found out when I upgraded from the 6 to the 7
Waaaaait. Do Not Disturb or Bedtime Mode does not get turned on automatically or synced from a phone? That's asinine. I'm going to have to keep the #PixelWatch in DND mode because I don't want to be woken up when a random Gmail notification comes in.
The watch also seems to be getting notifications from apps I haven't had a chance to disable yet, even though the "Auto turn on notifications for new apps" setting is off
bonus hole boy (it/he)I have been seeing everywhere that it was a drag queen who helped take down the shooter with Mr. Fierro and subdue him. It was not a drag queen, she is a trans woman. It is important to let people know this distinction so pls do. People from the shooting have come out to say it was a trans woman who helped them, not a drag queen. However, major media outlets, big twitter accounts, Tik Tok accounts, and more have been spreading this error and, if I'm to guess, will probably not correct their mistake. Trans women are erased all of the time, in everything. It's important during tragedies such as this, and other times in life, to make sure we do not erase the existence of trans women, as has always been done. They are ALWAYS on the front lines in the fight for liberation while also taking the brunt of the some of the worst violence our society has to offer and when things like this happens we NEED to make sure not to do what has always been done. So if you hear of anyone say the person who helped with Mr. Fierro take down the shooter and badassly stomped the shooters head with her heel, just let them know it was a trans woman, not a drag queen. It's important. Thank u ❤️
Gonna have to order a set of these so I don't have to add yet another USB C charger to my night stand setup.
Google should have a Pixel Phone and Watch stand that can charge both with one USB C input
