@Kjaerulv I guess Denmark still is, and will be for any foreseeable future.

Proud to be a European where we are global leaders in consumer privacy. We do this because we value people - private consumers - above everything else, and because we believe that organisations exist to serve their customers and users, not the other way around.

@knoppix95 Yes! If people truly have nothing to hide why don't they just walk around naked?

Somewhere along the years of the internet we got things turned upside down; Exactly because we have nothing to hide (the vast majority at least) we should not be forced to share all of our data through indiscriminate channels for continuous misuse.

@Gjoel +1 for #netbird, yet #selfhosting netbird would be the opposite of "exposing yourself" to the interwebz. At least from the point of view that you would avoid exposing your other selfhosted services directly and still have minimal external dependencies. Netbird is just an advanced orchestrator of #wireguard which is already a really secure protocol because it uses modern cryptography, it has a small attack surface, and it's very "quiet".

How do you make friends in the #Fediverse? I'm hoping to rely less on big tech, proprietary software for communication like #Discord, however it's incredibly difficult to convince my contacts to migrate and it just feel really lonely out here.

I'm thrilled to announce!...
So, if you're looking for someone to do that for you just ping me.
It's always recommended to use the managed services from your cloud provider.

"Nobody really needs a #MongoDB", was the consensus during recent office watercooler talks.
When building global solutions make sure to choose your persistence layer tailored for your needs:
Dive into proper data modelling and make sure to align on the nature of your data in the team along with the business needs.
Do you need a document store? An event store? A key/value store? A graph DB? A relational DB?
Regardless of where you land there are better options than MongoDB. Especially MDB Atlas

Q: What's the strategy for Loops to avoid offensive content?
@ProHaller thank you for the suggestion 🤩
It seems a little risky to start deploying solutions that are updated 2 years ago, but perhaps I should check it out functionally, and see if I can bring the deps up to date. #Axum is awesome.
