It just worked. I put in the new battery and nothing broke, no alerts and the car just started. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It took me a solid hour to get the battery cable off of the lead terminal. First I had to get all that tasty looking powder off of the batter and then try to pry apart the connector.
This is definitely not how it's supposed to be done and I am sorry for all mechanics seeing this :D
Now apparently everyone on the internet, in good old internet fashion, is disagreeing with each other about which battery to use and whether you need to have it configured by a mechanic ($$$).
Ugh. My car wouldn't start today. Never happened before and I used it only a couple days before that so I was rather confused.
From what I could tell it was a battery issue.
I opened the hood and was greeted by this seeping out of the battery. It's basically the forbidden blue sluhie! Or something Walter White would need.
I could either upgrade that storage OR I could just sell these and live for a yeah in NZ and enjoying the quietness and not be bothered by anything. Not that I'd do it, but often I pause and think about what you could do with that money instead.
