Some context on why Artemis II is providing a perspective on the Moon unlike any seen before by human eyes.

Humans have flown to the Moon before, but Artemis II has a unique flight geometry.

I just saw a news report that said the crew of Artemis will be the first humans to travel to the far side of the moon. Didn't Michael Collins do that with Apollo 11? Maybe I misunderstood.

UK MPs have passed an amendment giving the government powers to restrict access to VPNs.

Imposing digital ID checks will turn people away from using a tool that keeps them safe and secure online.

Instead it'll fuel the surveillance-based economy that causes harms.

Tell the Government: Protect VPN use in the UK

Take action! Protect VPN use in the UK VPNs help people to stay private and safe online. Young people use them to avoid harassment, or protect location data. Companies use them to make sure remote log-in to their networks are secure. Journalists, campaigners and whistle blowers use them to protect their work and themselves. But the Government wants to force people to verify their age when they buy a VPN. This will deter people from using VPNs to stay safe and secure online. Why are the government proposing restrictions to accessing VPNs?

I've just discovered a new podcast. Some Danish guys ranking A-ha songs from worst to best. I'm a lapsed fan, didn't really listen to stuff they released after the 90s. My God they've had some dingers! Tbf mostly early stuff so far.

Anyway, it's a podcast that's not about true crime or politics so it's a nice, stress free, listen.

I've seen clips of the new Married at First Sight Australia. Jaw dropping. I promise to CW any future posts when this rollercoaster starts in the UK in March. I'm so excited for a bit of nonsense. 😁

Eurovision once felt like a moment of shared humanity. Now it is a PR shield for a state committing atrocities, and the organisers know it. Letting Israel compete while Gaza is in ruins is not neutrality but complicity.

Countries withdrawing (currently Spain, Ireland, Netherlands, Slovenia) are the only ones showing moral courage. A global boycott is the only language the EBU will hear. Music cannot wash blood off anyone’s hands.

I love the Eurovision Song Contest. I've watched it religiously for decades. I can't in good conscience watch it if they continue to platform nations currently engaging in genocide.

I really think the UK should boycott officially. Unfortunately the current gov lacks a backbone and there will be plenty of musicians happy to make the most of the opportunity.

My recent research has confirmed the M&S should not be making their own chocolate tea cakes. They're minging. Tunnock's Tea Cakes cannot be beaten.
