Paul Krugman:

"When officers of a company or people close to them exploit confidential information for personal financial gain, that’s (illegal) insider trading. But we have another word for situations in which people with access to confidential info regarding national security exploit that info for profit. That word is “treason.”

There’s a broader lesson here: You can’t trust a corrupt govt to protect national security. And our govt is now utterly corrupt."

AI companies copy all written works they can get their hands on and call it fair use, if someone does it to their models it suddenly becomes "unauthorized distillation" and should be actionable in court.

Is it possible to revoke a Nobel Peace Prize? - Nobel Peace Prize

It is not possible to revoke a Nobel Peace Prize. Neither Alfred Nobel’s will nor the Statutes of the Nobel Foundation mention any such possibility.

Nobel Peace Prize

Some of you know today as π-day.

But the real insiders know that today is the 30th anniversary of the 1.0 release of Linux.

I really thought that I *needed* Windows into order to be playing games and doing the things I want to do sometimes, but after this experience, I'm genuinely not sure it's needed.

My original plan was to keep Linux on an external SSD while I keep Windows on my massive internal SSD. But with how things are looking... I may be moving to Linux full time faster than I thought. This already runs so well.
