In another directory there's bunch of html files with applet tags pointing to jar files. I've unpacked one file and found this. I must remind you that it's an encyclopedia or something.
Quick reminder that graphic designers used to do stuff in 2003.
I've found old (2003) "Multimedia encyclopedia" or so it wants to be called. I'm gonna look into it and see if i can get to actual definitions, it's old enough to hopefully not require internet to work. It's intended for poland, and i'm quite sure not everyone had access to internet back then over here.
I've decided to make a script that parses annotations exported from sigrok, it consists of some basic string manipulation and of 45-line switch statement that handles every message that could happen.
I've connected them to my totally-not-Saleae-knockoff from aliexpress and it sure is I2C comms, and it looks bit like reading 5 bytes from some memory I2C Master writes 0x72 0x06, after that master writes 0x72 0x0a (exactly 4 bytes after 0x06) Next couple read-writes follow that pattern but access different addresses. It makes me think that one of "mystery chips" is memory, but it might also be communication with MAX77840EWG, which is only identified IC with I2C
This is board from IQOS (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iqos) which is like a vape but you put tobacco in in so you can have worst of both worlds. This one was found on street and given to me. Inside were a nice fat Li-Ion cell, this board and heater which i appear to have lost/dumped somewhere back when i was first disassembling it.
