@bob Back in the eighties I was doing a thesis on artificial neural networks and wrote one myself in FORTRAN😂. When reading the Wikipedia page on this I'm surprised how little scientific progress has been made. It's still the same kind of propagation functions and learning process determining the weights and thresholds in the network that I used. Anyway I agree it's mainly hype and little substance. Great link.
dont ever learn about computers, their history, how to code etc, because then youll see the massive gap between what they are and what they could be, and it will haunt you for the rest of your days
