Eric Buijs@bob Back in the eighties I was doing a thesis on artificial neural networks and wrote one myself in FORTRAN😂. When reading the Wikipedia page on this I'm surprised how little scientific progress has been made. It's still the same kind of propagation functions and learning process determining the weights and thresholds in the network that I used. Anyway I agree it's mainly hype and little substance. Great link.

FSF and GNU should conceptualize a comprehensive concept of what a free computing environment should be, from the hardware, to software and networking environment.
Secure. Private. Encrypted. Anonymous. Decentralized. Distributed. Those are keywords for the new internet that will replace the current one.
