@ismh86 It has traditionally been that way due to one of the most important tenets of good visual design: it guides the eye. Darker contrasting colors leading the left-to-right scanning of the image is how all kinds of logos and icons are designed bc of how eyes and brains see stuff! Putting the all-but-transparent “white” side on the left breaks the visual cortex’s expected “hook” to even see the damn thing.
I’m annoyed at this because it’s so *stupid* of a design mistake.

Just like NYPD refuses to carry out the same kind of manhunt with hourly updates on the killer. They only care about corporate tycoons, not teenagers being killed. This is how they cover for the hate crime.

@tvaziri coincidentally, this was one of the first things I watched when I got my OLED. Black and white, shot on film TV remastered for HD looks incredible on these things.
