You know, I just realized that the "star/like" here on #Mastodon *can be* more than just a "compliments to the chef". For my personal #TwitterMigration seeing Boosted posts appear multiple times on the (Tusky) timeline has taken some acclimation.

By way of #introduction : I am a husband, father, and increasingly concerned about climate change and social justice.

I work in tech, mostly in the #geospatial arena - GIS, #foss4g , spatial SQL, data management, etc. That'll be mostly the content I consume here.

For fun, I play bass in a band: jbellmusic.com. I also enjoy beer, sports, and dad jokes. Often that'll be the content I *post* here - although occasionally I'll post some spatial stuff too!
