@zachklipp Yea I feel that. I don't really want multiple accounts.
Could be a UX problem though?

Could be a UX problem though?
@dan_delaney Yea, maybe it's a UX thing.
An easier way to switch accounts or some way to post and select the target instance would be nice.
@r00tAdmin @svenjacobs Oh interesting! Thats a good idea, still seems like unnecessary friction in most cases though.
The question of "should I post this picture I took on my tech mastodon instance" is tough.
Where is that line drawn?
Should I CW "art" or "photography" on a tech instance?
@svenjacobs I would too, but if I want to post about food, gaming, anything else, I would be hesitant to do so which is a negative. Users should be encouraged to post.
This is a problem with other sites as well. You start building an audience and feel the need to stay in your lane. Mastodon has potential to resolve this, but I'm not sure what the direction is yet.
@dan_delaney oh interesting, I didn't know posts didn't transfer.
Then I find the solution being the many accounts to many instances, which isn't ideal.
what's happening to Twitter right now is exactly why tech needs unions. it's not to protect our jobs or to make more money, but to have a say in the direction of the production of our labor. the point is to have power and use it for ends we believe in

@Lehtimaeki yea I have this wish/concern too. I think an instance for #AndroidDev would be awesome, but I also think it shouldn't be limited to just Android.
How does Mastodon draw those lines?
In G+ there was one account to many Circles.
Mastodon might be many accounts to many "Circles" (instances)?
I hope not, but I'm not sure.
Recently a good number of #AndroidDev have started the migration here and it would be cool to have an instance focused on #Android. But I know each of these people are interesting in ways outside of Android as well and should be encouraged to post about those things too.
How does that generally work in the #fediverse?
Are people expected to use multiple accounts? I would hope not.
