It's ridiculous that I'm not receiving my payout from Patreon due to their broken PayPal integration. I changed my PayPal email a few days ago, and *surprise* they're still sending payments to the old address. 🤦‍♂️

Ever heard of a PayerID? That’s what we use to not have to rely on something as fragile as an email address. What’s the point of authenticating via PayPal if you don’t even use the one piece of data that actually matters?

Come on, Patreon. This is basic stuff.

The cpak website is still under development, but a draft version is already online, some pages are still missing.

We also have a presskit 🥳 https://cpak.it/branding/presskit

Ps. It is not mobile yet.

Spoiler of what I'll talk about at #GUADEC2025

(The fact I am showcasing a Desktop application is just because the page looks better, primary usecase of cpak is not for Desktop apps but IoT and Servers. But yeah it does support desktop apps as well).

cpak now supports executing host commands using the hrun project (a replacement of host-spawn without the depending on flatpak-spawn and dbus, it uses a simple unix socket instead). Commands are defined by the cpak maintainer and the user can override them.

This is how fast Cpak is preparing its containers 👀 In the first case, it also configures NVIDIA, so it's even faster on non-NVIDIA devices.

I like to think of Vanilla OS flavors, like custom ROMs, like Android. Idk why .-.
