It's worth noting that WPATH and others are absolutely clear about what the "psychotherapeutic" approach means for gender care - it's conversion therapy by another name, seeking excuses to delay and deny gender affirming care.

The fact that this is being recommended by NHS interim guidelines is an appalling failure to protect and uphold standards of care for trans and gender diverse people.

Whilst twitter has been an extremely important place for organising as well as a vital platform for getting word out to wider audiences (re: community defence, accountability, sharing information) let's not forget that it's also a place where you can call an intersex person "an abomination" without violating any rules.

Automated tools like the one used in this BBC article (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-63330885) are a joke because so much of the meaning of a sentence or phrase is not textual, it's contextual - I.e. it's not embedded in the text itself.

Even when messages can be analysed on a purely textual level, language and memes used by hate groups evolve precisely to avoid detection and moderation.
