Me writing a generator function in #JavaScript
Set up #Supabase Storage on my website last weekend. As it usually goes with Supabase #selfhosting, this wasn't exactly straightforward, but I'm really happy with the results. Was able to get rid of all of our "hard-coded" images in the repo in favor of keeping them in blob storage. Trying to generalize my Rubik's Cube competitions/rankings website to work for most competitive sports now, and it's looking good so far!
I'm gonna set up two Nginx servers and configure them to point to each other's IP addresses for fun.
Am I the only one who doesn't mind AI art? Some of it that's done well (prompted, picked out from many iterations, etc.) actually looks quite good to me. I even thought this kind of AI art from the early days was cool. This one kind of looks like a neon city scape at night. But today you see much more detailed pieces, some of which I'd even prefer to human-made art.
It's finally sunk in for me that coding is creative work. I shall now take a five year sabbatical to expand my creative coding skills and discover what else could be made to run on JavaScript.
