Senior Architect building Drupal sites for more years than I care to count, with a strong focus on accessibility and best practices. Used #AI to help diagnose some linux/php memory issues, and I must admit that it is seductively helpful for accomplishing complex tasks that I am not actually qualified to be doing professionally.

Seriously, don't hire me as your sysadmin; I would need to use #LLMs.

If anybody is wondering how this bubble hasn’t popped yet - I still run into companies with blockchain teams. Everybody pretended GameStop could buy eBay this month. Businesses are really good at huffing glue.

@jeni I don't know, seems like you should charge more for some of them, especially the trans flag ones with the smeared and choppy lines. They make changing genders look even more hardcore.

There is no conceivable way to break even for the AI industry—let alone to repay an investment that requires $2Tn a year from now to the end of the decade. That's about 3% of the entire planetary GNP. Just to break even.

@simonzerafa @cstross I've been saying the AI bubble is about to pop for over 30 months now.

Unfortunately, even though you can identify when a tree is rotten, you can never predict exactly when a big enough gust of wind will come to finally blow it down.

@jurgenhaas Well, I'm only talking about custom modules, so composer shouldn't be looking at them as dependencies for anything.
