I've received some very useful feedback since I put my app CalAction on TestFlight yesterday. A few fixes have landed in version 1.2 build 28! I've also put this build up for review, so it should hopefully hit the App Store right before or just after this weekend. I created this app after my wife shared a frustration where she needed to import an ics file from the Gmail app into our shared #iCloud calendar and the workflow was incredibly convoluted. My first instinct was to solve the problem for her by building a small app, which then snowballed into a full fledged Enterprise Service Bus for ics files.

Yesterday afternoon, after a long and tough battle with cancer, my colleague and long time friend died. I knew it was coming, but that doesn't make it any less devastating. I'm glad I got to learn so much from him and he made a much bigger impact on everyone around him than he cared to admit.

Something that just popped into my head about yesterday morning's run in the sun. Three separate fellow runners waved and said hello/good morning as they passed. A small thing, but it definitely contributed to how much I enjoyed the run.
